Wanting to meet someone is not one problem. It is six or seven different ones wearing the same coat, and most of them have nothing to do with romance at all.
One person is not meeting anybody. Another meets people constantly and none of it catches. A third is still carrying the last one around and has not admitted it. They all say the same sentence — I want to find someone — and they all need something different.
So here are six simmer pots, each built for one of those. A simmer pot is the gentlest working there is: herbs and water on a low burner, the house filling with scent for an hour or two while you get on with your evening. No altar, no timing, nothing to bury afterward. Find yourself in the list below and make that one.
Which one is yours?
- The Room You Left Behind — you want someone new, but the last one is still in the room.
- Impossible to Overlook — you go out, you're pleasant, and nothing happens. You feel like background.
- The Spark That Catches — you meet plenty of people and none of it quickens into anything.
- Brave Enough to Try Again — you were hurt badly enough that you flinch at the door.
- Knowing the Real Thing — you keep choosing the same wrong kind and seeing it too late.
- Clearing the Road — you are simply not meeting anyone, and haven't for a long time.
Twelve aligned herbs run through all six, six in each pot. If more than one of these is you, the overlap is deliberate — two pots will share four or five packets.

1 · The Room You Left Behind
A simmer pot, an hour on a low burner.
For: You are ready to meet someone new, and you keep catching yourself comparing them to a person who is no longer here.
Makes: One pot. Five minutes to assemble, an hour or two of simmering.
This pot does not draw anybody. That is on purpose. Drawing new love into a room that is still occupied is how people end up dating a replacement instead of a person, and the first thing that has to happen is that the room empties.
What it does is quieter. It heals the part of you the last one damaged, clears the second-guessing that grew in the meantime, and sweeps the road so that what is coming can actually reach you.
Quaoar-Aligned Comfrey mends the self-wound that a bad ending leaves. Haumea-Aligned Bay Leaf turns the page. Quaoar-Aligned Lemon Verbena clears the second-guessing. Jupiter-Aligned Lemongrass sweeps what is blocking the road. Sun-Aligned Mistletoe stands behind you while you do it, and Venus-Aligned Lemon Verbena begins — gently — to draw.
Ingredients
Quaoar-Aligned Comfrey — a generous handful, about a third of a cup Quaoar-Aligned Comfrey tends the old injuries to your self-worth. It supports the mending of the places where past hurt taught you to reject yourself.
Haumea-Aligned Bay Leaf — 3 whole leaves Haumea-Aligned Bay Leaf refreshes your energy and spirit for a new chapter. It supports the awakening that follows a turning point.
Quaoar-Aligned Lemon Verbena — a small handful, about two tablespoons Quaoar-Aligned Lemon Verbena dissolves the mental clutter of second-guessing. It supports a harmonious inner calm where confidence has room to stand.
Jupiter-Aligned Lemongrass — a generous handful, about a third of a cup Jupiter-Aligned Lemongrass sweeps away the obstacles and stagnant conditions standing between you and a fortunate opening.
Sun-Aligned Mistletoe — a small handful, about two tablespoons Sun-Aligned Mistletoe stands behind you like a champion in your corner. It surrounds you with a warm field that says your light is safe to shine.
Venus-Aligned Lemon Verbena — a small handful, about two tablespoons Venus-Aligned Lemon Verbena enhances your attractiveness and opens empathy. It supports the steady, faithful building of a bond that lasts rather than flares.
You will also need
A saucepan, four to six cups of water, and a stove you can keep an eye on. We sell no simmer bags, so add the herbs loose — you will strain nothing and pour nothing, so loose is fine.
Method
- Fill the pan with four to six cups of cold water and set it on the lowest heat that will hold a bare simmer.
- Add the comfrey and the bay leaf first, and let them go five minutes on their own. This is the clearing, and it goes before the drawing.
- Add the lemongrass, then the lemon verbena, then the mistletoe.
- When the steam first carries the scent out of the kitchen, say: "What I carried, I set down here. The room is mine again."
- Let it simmer an hour or two. Top up with a cup of water whenever the level drops by a third — never let it go dry.
- Turn it off and let the pan cool on the burner.
Afterward
Pour the cooled water onto the earth outside — a garden bed, a pot, the base of a tree. Not down the sink. Compost or bin the spent herbs.
Notes
If the old one comes to mind while it simmers, that is the working doing its job. Let the thought arrive and let it go with the steam; you do not have to fight it.
Repeat weekly for as long as you need to. This is the one pot in this post you may want more than once.
Never leave a simmer pot unattended, and never let it boil dry — a dry pan on a hot burner is a fire. If you have a cat or a bird in the house, simmer with a window cracked and the door open; steam that is pleasant to you can be a great deal for a small animal.
2 · Impossible to Overlook
A simmer pot, an hour on a low burner.
For: You go out, you are perfectly nice to people, and nothing ever happens. You have started to suspect you are furniture.
Makes: One pot. Five minutes to assemble, an hour or two of simmering.
This is not a pot about beauty and it will not change your face. It is about presence — the difference between being in a room and being in it, which is mostly a matter of how much of yourself you are willing to bring.
Mercury-Aligned Hibiscus warms your social presence and puts the sparkle back into how you talk to people. Venus-Aligned Hibiscus surrounds you with the allure that calls love near. Sun-Aligned Mistletoe makes shining feel safe, which for a lot of people is the actual blocker. Quaoar-Aligned Lemon Verbena clears the second-guessing that keeps you quiet, Venus-Aligned Lemon Verbena makes what shows attractive, and Jupiter-Aligned Lemongrass opens the road so there is somewhere for it to go.
Ingredients
Mercury-Aligned Hibiscus — a generous handful, about a third of a cup Mercury-Aligned Hibiscus warms your social presence. It supports color and sparkle in how you express yourself, and draws people toward you in conversation.
Venus-Aligned Hibiscus — a generous handful, about a third of a cup Venus-Aligned Hibiscus attracts new romance. It surrounds you with the allure that calls love near.
Sun-Aligned Mistletoe — a small handful, about two tablespoons Sun-Aligned Mistletoe stands behind you like a champion in your corner. It surrounds you with a warm field that says your light is safe to shine.
Quaoar-Aligned Lemon Verbena — a small handful, about two tablespoons Quaoar-Aligned Lemon Verbena dissolves the mental clutter of second-guessing. It supports a harmonious inner calm where confidence has room to stand.
Venus-Aligned Lemon Verbena — a small handful, about two tablespoons Venus-Aligned Lemon Verbena enhances your attractiveness and opens empathy. It supports the steady, faithful building of a bond that lasts rather than flares.
Jupiter-Aligned Lemongrass — a small handful, about two tablespoons Jupiter-Aligned Lemongrass sweeps away the obstacles and stagnant conditions standing between you and a fortunate opening.
You will also need
A saucepan, four to six cups of water, and a stove you can keep an eye on. Add the herbs loose.
Method
- Fill the pan with four to six cups of cold water and set it to the barest simmer.
- Add both hibiscus alignments together. The water will go a deep red — this is the pot you can see working.
- Add the mistletoe, then both lemon verbenas, then the lemongrass.
- Stand over it for one minute and let the steam reach your face. Say: "I am not background. Let me be seen as I actually am."
- Simmer an hour or two, topping up a cup at a time as the level drops.
- Turn it off and let it cool on the burner.
Afterward
Pour the cooled water onto the earth outside. Keep a single spent hibiscus flower dry in your coat pocket for the next week.
Notes
Work this one on a day you are actually going somewhere. The pot warms your presence; it does not deliver anybody to your kitchen.
If your skin is sensitive, wash your hands after handling hibiscus — the red is generous and it travels.
Never leave a simmer pot unattended and never let it boil dry.
3 · The Spark That Catches
A simmer pot, an hour on a low burner.
For: You meet plenty of people. Everyone is fine. Nothing has quickened in a very long time and you are starting to wonder whether that part of you switched off.
Makes: One pot. Five minutes to assemble, an hour or two of simmering.
This pot is about heat, and it is the only one here that is. The books are specific that heat in love magic is a different thing from love in love magic — a fast, biting fire rather than a slow warmth — and if pleasant-but-nothing is your complaint, warmth is not the missing ingredient.
Venus-Aligned Ginger is the hot one: quick, spicy, immediate. Venus-Aligned Hibiscus is the red bloom of drawn romance. Mercury-Aligned Hibiscus makes the conversation itself vivid rather than polite. Venus-Aligned Mistletoe points the heat somewhere — toward a promise rather than an evening — and Venus-Aligned Lemon Verbena keeps it building instead of flaring out. Haumea-Aligned Bay Leaf is here because a spark needs somewhere new to land.
Ingredients
Venus-Aligned Ginger — a small handful, about two tablespoons Venus-Aligned Ginger sparks immediate desire and sensual attraction. It sends a fast jolt of heat and draws love quickly and intensely.
Venus-Aligned Hibiscus — a generous handful, about a third of a cup Venus-Aligned Hibiscus attracts new romance. It surrounds you with the allure that calls love near.
Mercury-Aligned Hibiscus — a small handful, about two tablespoons Mercury-Aligned Hibiscus warms your social presence. It supports color and sparkle in how you express yourself.
Venus-Aligned Mistletoe — a small handful, about two tablespoons Venus-Aligned Mistletoe attracts romance and devoted partnership. It draws love toward commitment rather than merely toward warmth.
Venus-Aligned Lemon Verbena — a small handful, about two tablespoons Venus-Aligned Lemon Verbena enhances your attractiveness and opens empathy. It supports a bond built steadily rather than one that flares and fades.
Haumea-Aligned Bay Leaf — 2 whole leaves Haumea-Aligned Bay Leaf refreshes your energy and spirit for a new chapter. It readies you to set out, renewed.
You will also need
A saucepan, four to six cups of water, and a stove you can keep an eye on. Add the herbs loose.
Method
- Fill the pan with four to six cups of cold water and set it to the barest simmer.
- Add the ginger alone and let it go three minutes. The kitchen will start to smell of it before anything else — that is the point, and the order matters here.
- Add both hibiscus alignments, then the mistletoe, then the lemon verbena, then the bay leaves on top.
- When the ginger and the hibiscus have met in the steam, say: "Let something catch. I am ready to want somebody."
- Simmer an hour or two, topping up as needed.
- Turn it off and let it cool on the burner.
Afterward
Pour the cooled water onto the earth outside.
Notes
If you want this gentler, halve the ginger. If you want it hotter, do not double it — work the pot twice in a week instead. Ginger is the fastest thing in this post and it does not need help.
Ginger steam is sharp. Do not lean into the pan, and keep it away from your eyes.
Never leave a simmer pot unattended and never let it boil dry.
4 · Brave Enough to Try Again
A simmer pot, an hour on a low burner.
For: You were hurt badly enough that some part of you stopped. You want to meet someone and you also want, quite strongly, never to do this again.
Makes: One pot. Five minutes to assemble, an hour or two of simmering.
This pot does not push you out of the door. Nothing here overrides a flinch, and a working that tried would be doing you harm. What it does is take the weight off the thing you are flinching from.
Sun-Aligned Mistletoe is the center of it: the herb for when self-doubt makes shining feel unsafe, and what it offers is not force but permission. Quaoar-Aligned Comfrey heals the injury underneath. Quaoar-Aligned Lemon Verbena clears the second-guessing that has grown over it. Haumea-Aligned Bay Leaf offers the fresh start, Venus-Aligned Hibiscus keeps a little draw in the room, and Venus-Aligned Mistletoe points it, when you are ready, at something that lasts.
Ingredients
Sun-Aligned Mistletoe — a generous handful, about a third of a cup Sun-Aligned Mistletoe stands behind you like a champion in your corner. It surrounds you with a warm field that says your light is safe to shine.
Quaoar-Aligned Comfrey — a generous handful, about a third of a cup Quaoar-Aligned Comfrey tends the old injuries to your self-worth. It mends the places where past hurt taught you to reject yourself.
Quaoar-Aligned Lemon Verbena — a small handful, about two tablespoons Quaoar-Aligned Lemon Verbena dissolves the mental clutter of second-guessing so your true self can act unobstructed by doubt.
Haumea-Aligned Bay Leaf — 3 whole leaves Haumea-Aligned Bay Leaf refreshes your energy for a new chapter and supports the awakening that follows a turning point.
Venus-Aligned Hibiscus — a small handful, about two tablespoons Venus-Aligned Hibiscus attracts new romance and surrounds you with the allure that calls love near.
Venus-Aligned Mistletoe — a small handful, about two tablespoons Venus-Aligned Mistletoe attracts romance and devoted partnership, and blesses a bond toward lasting commitment.
You will also need
A saucepan, four to six cups of water, and a stove you can keep an eye on. Add the herbs loose.
Method
- Fill the pan with four to six cups of cold water and set it to the barest simmer.
- Add both mistletoe alignments together — the Sun one first, then the Venus. Permission before drawing, in that order.
- Add the comfrey, the lemon verbena, and the bay leaves.
- Sit down near the pan, not over it. When the scent reaches you where you are sitting, say: "I am not required to be fearless. I am only required to be willing."
- Simmer an hour or two, topping up as needed.
- Turn it off and let it cool on the burner.
Afterward
Pour the cooled water onto the earth outside. Keep one bay leaf.
Notes
There is no schedule attached to this pot. Work it, and then do nothing differently until you want to. Willingness that arrives on a deadline is not willingness.
If what happened to you was frightening rather than merely painful, this pot is not the help you need and no herb is. Please talk to someone who works with that — these rituals sit alongside real support, never in place of it.
Never leave a simmer pot unattended and never let it boil dry.
5 · Knowing the Real Thing
A simmer pot, an hour on a low burner.
For: You meet people readily enough. You just keep choosing the same wrong kind, and you keep seeing it about four months too late.
Makes: One pot. Five minutes to assemble, an hour or two of simmering.
This is a discernment pot, not a drawing pot. It works on your eyes rather than on your appeal, and the useful thing about that is that it is the only one of these six that gets easier the more you use it.
Eris-Aligned Ginger is the sharp one: it burns off the flattering cover story to show what is underneath. Venus-Aligned Bay Leaf is the old pillow-charm turned outward — clear perception in matters of the heart, applied to who and how to love. Quaoar-Aligned Comfrey heals the wound that makes the wrong kind feel familiar. Venus-Aligned Mistletoe names what you are actually looking for, Venus-Aligned Ginger keeps some heat in it so this does not become a checklist, and Mercury-Aligned Hibiscus keeps you talking rather than assessing.
Ingredients
Eris-Aligned Ginger — a small handful, about two tablespoons Eris-Aligned Ginger burns off the flattering cover story to reveal what is underneath. It sharpens your eye for what others have missed.
Venus-Aligned Bay Leaf — 3 whole leaves Venus-Aligned Bay Leaf supports clear perception in matters of the heart. It lends bay's farseeing clarity to questions of who and how to love.
Quaoar-Aligned Comfrey — a small handful, about two tablespoons Quaoar-Aligned Comfrey mends the places where past hurt taught you to reject yourself — the wound that makes the wrong kind feel like home.
Venus-Aligned Mistletoe — a small handful, about two tablespoons Venus-Aligned Mistletoe attracts devoted partnership and blesses a bond toward lasting commitment.
Venus-Aligned Ginger — a pinch, about two teaspoons Venus-Aligned Ginger sparks desire and sensual attraction — a quick, biting fire rather than a slow glow.
Mercury-Aligned Hibiscus — a small handful, about two tablespoons Mercury-Aligned Hibiscus warms your social presence and draws people toward you in conversation.
You will also need
A saucepan, four to six cups of water, and a stove you can keep an eye on. Add the herbs loose.
Method
- Fill the pan with four to six cups of cold water and set it to the barest simmer.
- Add both ginger alignments together — the Eris first. Discernment before desire, deliberately.
- Add the bay leaves whole, then the comfrey, the mistletoe, and the hibiscus.
- As the ginger sharpens the steam, say: "Let me see them early. Let me see them as they are."
- Simmer an hour or two, topping up as needed.
- Turn it off and let it cool on the burner.
Afterward
Pour the cooled water onto the earth outside. Keep one of the bay leaves in your wallet.
Notes
Seeing clearly is not the same as being harsh, and this pot will not make you suspicious of everybody. If you find yourself building a case against someone in week two, that is not the working — that is the old wound, and pot 4 is the one for it.
Ginger steam is sharp. Do not lean into the pan.
Never leave a simmer pot unattended and never let it boil dry.
6 · Clearing the Road
A simmer pot, an hour on a low burner.
For: You are not meeting anyone. Not the wrong people, not the right people — nobody, and it has been like this long enough to feel structural.
Makes: One pot. Five minutes to assemble, an hour or two of simmering.
Nothing in this pot draws a person to you. It clears the road, which is a different job and the one you need first. When nobody is arriving at all, the problem is rarely your appeal — it is that there is no path by which anyone could reach you, and adding more draw to a blocked road just makes the block louder.
Jupiter-Aligned Lemongrass is the whole point of this pot: it removes what stands between you and an opening rather than calling the opening in. Venus-Aligned Bay Leaf gives you sight for what arrives. Haumea-Aligned Bay Leaf makes the fresh start real. Eris-Aligned Ginger keeps you from spending the first opening on the wrong person. Mercury-Aligned Hibiscus gives you something to say when it comes, and Venus-Aligned Mistletoe holds the aim on something worth having.
Ingredients
Jupiter-Aligned Lemongrass — a very generous handful, about half a cup Jupiter-Aligned Lemongrass sweeps away the obstacles and stagnant conditions standing between you and a fortunate opening, so the luck that could not reach you finally can.
Venus-Aligned Bay Leaf — 2 whole leaves Venus-Aligned Bay Leaf supports clear perception in matters of the heart and lends farseeing clarity to a budding romance.
Haumea-Aligned Bay Leaf — 2 whole leaves Haumea-Aligned Bay Leaf refreshes your energy and spirit for a new chapter and readies you to set out, renewed.
Eris-Aligned Ginger — a pinch, about two teaspoons Eris-Aligned Ginger burns off the flattering cover story to reveal what is underneath.
Mercury-Aligned Hibiscus — a small handful, about two tablespoons Mercury-Aligned Hibiscus warms your social presence and draws people toward you in conversation.
Venus-Aligned Mistletoe — a small handful, about two tablespoons Venus-Aligned Mistletoe attracts romance and devoted partnership, and draws love toward commitment.
You will also need
A saucepan, four to six cups of water, and a stove you can keep an eye on. Add the herbs loose. This pot wants the most water of the six — start at six cups.
Method
- Fill the pan with six cups of cold water and set it to the barest simmer.
- Add the lemongrass alone and let it go a full ten minutes. It is doing the clearing, and it should have the pot to itself while it does.
- Add both bay leaves, then the ginger, the hibiscus, and the mistletoe.
- Open a window or a door somewhere in the house — a small physical version of what the pot is doing. Then say: "Let the way to me be open. Let somebody find it."
- Simmer an hour or two, topping up as needed.
- Turn it off and let it cool on the burner.
Afterward
Pour the cooled water out at your front step or the edge of your drive — the way in, rather than the garden.
Notes
Work this one first if more than one of these six is you. A cleared road makes every other pot in this post work better, and none of them work well without it.
Then do the human half: say yes to one thing this month that you would ordinarily decline. The pot opens the road; it does not walk down it for you.
Never leave a simmer pot unattended and never let it boil dry.
Where to go from here
Six pots, and most people need two: the one that describes them now, and Clearing the Road underneath it.
None of these will produce a person. What they will do is take the specific thing that is in your way and work on that one thing — the old attachment, the invisibility, the flatness, the flinch, the bad picker, the closed road — and leave you in a better condition to meet somebody than you were on Sunday. That is a real result and it is the only one on offer. Anything promising more than that is selling you something.
If nothing on this list is you, that is worth knowing too. Sometimes I want to find someone means I am lonely, which is a bigger and more answerable problem than romance, and a different set of workings entirely.
Your kit — everything in this post
Twelve aligned herbs, seven plants. Each is prepared and Celestial Aligned at Crystal Vaults and here at Crystal Conjure Magic, and each pot uses six of them.
Hibiscus — Venus aligned (draws new romance) · Mercury aligned (social sparkle) Ginger — Venus aligned (quick heat) · Eris aligned (sees through the story) Mistletoe — Venus aligned (draws toward commitment) · Sun aligned (makes shining feel safe) Lemon Verbena — Venus aligned (attraction, built steadily) · Quaoar aligned (clears second-guessing) Bay Leaf — Venus aligned (clear sight in love) · Haumea aligned (the fresh start) Lemongrass — Jupiter aligned (sweeps the road open) Comfrey — Quaoar aligned (heals the old self-wound)
Five of the seven plants appear twice, at two different bodies. Those are two separate products doing two different jobs — the plant is the constant, the celestial body is the lens that turns its light toward one purpose. Buy both where a pot calls for both.
From home: a saucepan, water, and a stove. And of course anything else you want in the pot, oranges, cinnamon, after all they are your pots. Feel free to experiment,
